upcoming workshop - learn how to instruct Gym based exercise sessions

We are really excited to announce that STAYCEE JOHNS will be delivering a Hands On Practical Workshop in Plainlands (45 min from Toowoomba).  This is an opportunity for people who are thinking about a career in fitness to get a real world, hands on experience with what it feels like to be a fitness instructor.


In this workshop you will learn to instruct a full body strength training session including: 

  • How to do compound leg, chest and back exercises in the gym
  • The main muscles used, breathing and tempo for each exercise
  • Basic instructor techniques using the ESIC Method
  • Cueing and correction for common technique errors
  • Common variations and substitutions for each exercise
  • Fitness career opportunities and course options available

This workshop is ideal for people who are:

  • thinking about starting a course to become a qualified fitness instructor,
  • already studying to become a qualified fitness instructor or personal trainer, and
  • recent fitness course graduates looking to build some extra confidence.

Availability:  Monday - Friday 9:00 AM - 2:30 PM, Weekends by appointment only

Background:  Staycee has dedicated her career to inspiring confidence and strength in others. With over two years of experience as a group fitness instructor, she has built her reputation and business from teaching two classes per week to an impressive 25 classes weekly. This year, she expanded her expertise by certifying as a Personal Trainer, launching her business with a transformative Confidence Challenge for 30 women. Having completed her Certificate III in Fitness in person and her Certificate IV online, Staycee experienced the limitations of remote learning. This inspired her to provide a more hands-on and supportive mentorship experience for aspiring trainers, ensuring they gain practical skills beyond the bare minimum. Staycee’s passion for fitness education is complemented by her commitment to ongoing professional development and her eagerness to contribute to the growth of future fitness professionals.

Conditions: Students are expected to maintain professionalism, punctuality, and a positive attitude during practice sessions. Students need to make sure they are well prepared for the sessions, having watched the demonstration videos, prepared the paperwork and have your practice clients organised.
