RECOGNITION OF PRIOR LEARNING (RPL)
Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) is a method of assessment that allows people to gain recognition for current knowledge and skills.
You can use a variety of documentation to apply for RPL such as:
- records of completing other training programs
- assessment items and records
- declarations from employers
- projects and tasks completed in the workplace
- a range of other forms of evidence
Pathway 1: Enrol in the Course (then apply for RPL)
As a Registered Training Organisation, we are required to provide recognition of prior learning to learners and have suitable RPL tools, resources and procedure to support the conduct of RPL available (Clause 1.12).
In this option, you will enrol into your chosen course and complete all the enrolments and complete payment for the course. Once you commence your course, you have the option to complete each unit or apply for RPL for each unit.
If you choose to apply for RPL, the learning materials for that unit are removed and replaced with an RPL Application. If you are successful in your application, you will be issued with the statement of attainment for that unit.

Pathway 2: Apply Directly for RPL (prior to enrolling)
In this option, you will apply directly for RPL without enrolling into the course. You will be required to gather your evidence to support your RPL Application and pay the required administration and assessment fees.
RPL is an assessment only process, and does not include the delivery of any training. RPL is not a guarantee that you will just be automatically granted a qualification in Certificate III and IV in Fitness. As the RPL Candidate, the responsibility of providing sufficient evidence rests with you.
